Rebelskamp is a band from San Jose, CA that hit the music scene in 2011, when they decided to take the "Natasha's Garage Sessions" (a weekly psychedelic improv jam-night held in a friend's haunted Garage) to the main stages of San Jose, the Bay Area, and beyond. The core members have remained the same since inception, with a few minor changes through the years. The current Rebelskamp line-up consists of the 3 Huelsenkamp brothers - Jesse aka Gee Willikers (vocals/guitar), Jeremiah Lee aka Verse (bass guitar/background vocals/etc), and Justin (synth/samples/effects), includes Dan Gilardoni (drums), Juan Maserati (keys), and features Kenny Bundy (sax), and Phil Zigler of Relapse (lead guitar). Stylistically, their music has a genre of its own, because of its fluid nature. The vibe is known to fluctuate from Funk to Psychedelic Rock to Blues, and into Soul, and the players also pull from subtle elements of Hip-Hop, Reggae Dub, and Jazz, managing to seamlessly blend the moods, influences, and sounds smoothly into one. Rebelskamp is known to play off of the energy of the crowd, while conjuring new culminations and creating a sound to suit that environment, kind of like the chameleons of music. To encapsulate the overall musical style into a name, we like to call it "Slump Funk".

Rebelskamp prides themselves on their impromptu unwritten jam style, the core basis of their spontaneous songwriting, which is ultimately fueled by improvisation. It is very much like the beginnings of Jazz, where one member starts a creative idea, with no script, the next one builds on that, and so on, and thus, songs are created out of thin air, like magic, without much discussion. This format allows for their songs to be freeform and to take shape all their own, and while some of the signature album tracks are always revisited at live shows, they love to play off the real-time energy of the crowd, so even those songs are either extended, done in a “remixed” fashion, or, they have been known to even perform parody versions of their own songs that are totally flipped, altered, or jammed out in some quirky way. All members contribute, and there is usually not any one songwriter. The result is a beautiful, timeless sonic landscape, with a vintage, inimitable and funky, yet hard-hitting sound. With Gee Willikers’ high-pitched, vibrato-laden, haunting falsetto voice lacing over unmistakable slap-bass riffs and keyboard grooves, with solid drum-beats and spaced-out sound effects and textures, and the signature sax, Rebelskamp has made a huge mark in their local scene, and is now poised to make even bigger moves.

Rebelskamp first independently released "The Kill" in 2013, to local acclaim, which they immediately followed up in 2014 with their second release, "InTentCity". This release got them more widespread attention and landed them a slot on the 2014 Vans Warped Tour, as part of the "Yo! Bring It Back" Tour. Their first two albums feature the top-notch lead guitar work of Mr. Jeremy Deneau, and each one had a track that featured lyrics by San Jose’s hip-hop/battle-rap icon Dirtbag Dan. In early 2017, a third album entitled “Zaeliens” was released, which was an epic local musical collaboration featuring over 10 talented guest musicians from their native San Jose, including poet Mighty Mike McGee, Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Cado Dos Santos, Nehal Abuelata of Sweet Hayah, April Gee of ContainHer, Singer Genevieve Primavera, Singer/Songwriter Adira Shark, Sean Blak, Droo Zee of FTB, Cellist Natasha Littlewood, Mr. Philthy of Philthy Dronez, and Phil Zigler of Relapse. Since then, the Rebels were given the distinct opportunity to be the House Band all throughout 2018 and continuing into 2019 at Mighty Mike McGee’s “Tournamentertainment” a popular comedy/poetry/music event held at the Forager in San Jose, CA every first Friday of each month. As far as new music in the works, the Rebels have now taken it to the next level with a full-scale recording Studio that they built all by themselves, and there, at Grow Your Own Recordings, their 4th studio album is currently now in the works, and is set for a mid 2019 release. Since their inception, Rebelskamp has had the opportunity to grace many esteemed stages and epic venues, as follows:
